Jacqueline Marcil, AMFT
Hello! I am an associate marriage and family therapist and am currently being supervised by Jordan Boehler, LCSW, as I work towards full licensure. I received my BS in Biological Psychology from UC Davis and MA in Marital and Family Therapy from University of San Diego. My clinical experience includes working with adults, couples, and families in high acuity care settings specializing in treatment for complex trauma/PTSD and substance use, as well as co-occurring disorders, relational issues, and family conflict. I am trained in evidence based treatments (CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.) for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use, and codependency.
HOW I HELP
II believe all clients hold the capability for change, regardless of the current challenges that may be hindering their growth. My position as a therapist is to provide a space of safety and trust as we explore these experiences and barriers together. During our sessions, we will collaborate goals for therapy and identify the cycles that keep you stuck to create a more positive connection with your sense of self, behaviors, and thoughts. I utilize evidence based modalities but will tailor our work together to your specific needs and goals for seeking therapy. I have a more direct therapeutic style while working from a holistic, self-compassion focused lens so that you may return to your daily life with greater awareness and kindness in the relationship with yourself and those around you.
