Jesse Schulte, Ph.D.

Hi, I am Dr. Jesse, Schulte,  a Postdoctoral fellow under supervision of

Dr. Shilpa Kapoor. I was born in Portland, Oregon and have lived on the East Coast close to New York City and in the Southwest in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and my Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, with concentration in the neurobiology of the mind.

I have a deep passion for helping people discover true authorship of their fullest life potentials. This work involves identifying and leveraging innate personalized core strengths to support best living and thriving in a stress-filled world. In cooperation with this, our work together delves into ways that people get in their own way in reaching their truest potential. In this way, we bring light to self-defeating habits and beliefs, potentiating access to more adaptive choices that lead to greater and greater optimized outcomes. These limiting self-structures are often unconscious and habitual by default, making them inherently difficult to work with and change due to the way they obscure our self-insight like shadows in the mind. Further in this work together, resulting insights allow the necessary degrees of flexible control and developmental self-mastery toward actualizing a truly optimized life. I have been studying the craft of personalized optimization for many years, and have gained an intuitive sense for assisting people learn how to lean into unobscured and fully self-empowered authorship of their lives.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you toward your highest goals. I have a structured integrative approach to therapy that utilizes mind-body methods and developmental models according to evidence from the latest scientific research.
