Hi! I am Dr. Mansi Verma, a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Dr. Shilpa Kapoor. I have a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Delhi, India, an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), University of Delhi, India, a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, India, and a Bachelors in Applied Psychology from the University of Delhi, India.

How I help

When we feel overwhelmed by feelings of sadness or our inability to cope with everyday life problems, often our interpersonal relationships suffer, or we may face difficulty concentrating on work or studies. We either end up internalizing our frustration and becoming withdrawn, irritable, anxious or addicted. Or we may externalize and become more aggressive, sedentary, etc. Further, sometimes there are certain unresolved or identified issues that may have been silently creating conflicts in our lives, and as a result, may have been holding us back from performing at our best.

In situations like these, by applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques I wish to compassionately work towards helping you overcome or tackle an emotional challenge, life stress, or difficulties associated with managing a mental illness. As your mental health companion, I wish to walk alongside you and help you overcome life challenges, so that you are enabled to cope more adaptively to life stressors. By offering empathetic and non-judgmental care, I wish to help you develop a healthy relationship with yourself and others around you and enable you to lead a happier and more meaningful life. My focus will be on improving your mental health and well-being so that your overall quality of life can be enhanced.
