Audrey Lee, LMFT
Hi, I am Audrey Lee, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I graduated from Western Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an elementary school teacher and preschool educator. As a former educator, I have a strong understanding of the demands and limitations our education system places on children/educators, and I have extensive experience providing classroom support and therapeutic support to parents and educators. I specialize in working with children, parents, couples, and young adult women who are experiencing anxiety, anger issues, life transitions, trauma, or depression. I am a certified Prepare and Enrich therapist, and I provide pre and post martial assessments for couples who may be looking to fine-tune or improve their relationship. I have also received training in EMDR from the EMDR, Institute, and I currently provide EMDR services to clients while I am under consultation for certification.
How I Help
My therapy style is warm and inviting, and I work from a client-centered approach. I focused on issues that are important to the client, and I draw from several different evidence-based modalities. The evidence-based modalities include CBT, DBT, EMDR, Solution-Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. With child clients, I primarily use a combination of non-directive and directive play therapy interventions that help young clients process and explore their challenges in an age-appropriate way. In a typical session with a client, I like to offer a combination of processing and skill-building. As a therapist, I feel honored and privileged to be able to journey with my clients through the ups and downs of life. I know that seeking therapy for yourself or your child can often be a scary step, so I commend you for this brave decision!
